Rakes Mill Pond Overlook: Milepost 162.4
Although the mill is no longer standing the pond remains from the early 1800’s. Gristmill owner Jarmon Rakes is remembered for unique marketing arrangement of allowing customers (and ONLY customers) to fish in this pond while they waited for their grain to be ground.
