thank you Rani for showing us the way and putting idea in our heads. The wine list in enourmous, it's like "who is who" in wine and it took me over 30 minutes to come with the first selection - Robert Chevillon Florida Jim turned us into fans of.
We have 96, 99, 2002 at home, but not '01 NSG "Les Ronceires" and it was just LOVELY!
Slight hint of clove, finesse and if I was blind tasting, I'd probably would mistaken it for the FINEST Oregon Pinot Noir.
The secons bottle was one of the first Burg's Florida Jim turned us to -
1999, Domaine Dujac, Morey St Denis. Not as good as 1998, which was a tough year, but still very enjoyable Burgundy.
"Cochon* avec Harissa sauce", which didn't even had a hint of Harissa!!!!
The Desert course was superb!
The other interesting aspect was watching people.
The look on the face of one of the " boys" who gave waitress hard time with white, demanded to decanter the red, and when he saw his girlfriend sipping red with mussels the expression on his face was just PRICELESS. I don't think they be together for long afterwards
