We went today to the famous Copenhagen restaurant Le Sommelier,
thank you Rani for showing us the way and putting idea in our heads. The wine list in enourmous,
it's like "who is who" in wine and it took me over 30 minutes to come with the first selection -
Robert Chevillon Florida Jim turned us into fans of.

We have 96, 99, 2002 at home, but not '01 NSG "Les Ronceires" and it was just LOVELY!
Slight hint of clove, finesse and if I was blind tasting, I'd probably would mistaken it for the FINEST Oregon Pinot Noir.
Sue had fois gras, just like we had in Paris and I had escargot which wasn't as good as the rendition of Ruth Chris's version.
USA folks would know the place.

The secons bottle was one of the first Burg's Florida Jim turned us to -
1999, Domaine Dujac, Morey St Denis. Not as good as 1998, which was a tough year, but still very enjoyable Burgundy.

I had, thinking of Daniel Rogov "Cochon avec Harissa sauce",
which didn't even had a hint of Harissa!!!!
Sorry, Daniel, but all us being semites, we DO know Harissa, and it wasn't it.
The good thing was...we still thought of you and you were with us in spirit.

The other interesting aspect was watching people.

The look on the face of one of the "Belmaati boys" who gave waitress hard time with white,
demanded to decanter the red, and when he saw his girlfriend sipping red with mussels the
expression on his face was just PRICELESS. I don't think they be together for long afterwards

Birger, you were right, that was one of the priciest places we've been so far in Copenhagen!
