On our way to Alexandria, we stopped at a Coptic Orthodox Monastery.
I am glad we watched Alexandria before we left on Amazon Prime, thank you Sue Kalperson , as our guide delivered the history poorly.
Oh well...
We had 2 police cars escort. Not for safety but rather to navigate thru traffic and very narrow streets.
Not much left from the Old Alexandria, but we still got some glimpse of the Catacombs.
The city looks a bit dilapidated, just a shadow of its former glory days.
