First day in Amman exceeded our expectations. In our program, we were supposed to be greeted at the airport and brought to the hotel.
We got here at 11 am and we told the guide our interests: history, culture, food, politics and religion.
He took us to the adorable coffee chain at the mall where we spent 5 dollars for 2 turkish and 1 cappuccino we enjoyed
and continued with the not in the itinerary city tour which culminated with invitation to his apartment
to meet the family and cook the famous Jordanian dish Chicken Maqluba upside down!
All in all beautiful day with 2 hours sleep in the last 31 hours. Over and out to bed to continue the adventure tomorrow.

Today we visited 3 places:
Al Saladdin fortress Ajloun ( you can see Lebanon and Israel from it.) Ancient Roman Greek city of Jerash and the famous Lebanese restaurant Um Khalil for lunch
which boasts clientele like Jordanian royalty, Richard Gere and even Mr Bean!
My chicken liver cooked in pomegranate sauce and frog legs (Lebanon used to be a French colony) were out of this world!
