March 18, 19, 2023. Today being our last official day in Jordan, we visited Mt Nebo, where possibly Moses is buried and is under the care of the Franciscan Church.

But.....Here is my review of Mount Nebo, the alleged deathbed of Prophet Musa also known as Moses.
The site is run by Franciscans which means: PAY CASH! Jordan Pass accepted everywhere is not accepted at Christian sites.
In Franciscan interpretation, Moses was baptized 4000 years before Christ, crosses symbols and even logos, sculptures are everywhere.

We skipped the site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. $17 charge per person includes baptism ceremony.
No can do, I just converted to Islam few days ago and if I jump from atheism to Islam, to Christianity, to Judaism and back to atheism
all within a week, God may punish me for that and turn me into Lot's wife!
This is the Middle East, EVERYTHING is possible here!
March 20, 21, 2023 One of our best 3 meals in Jordan, most expensive too. Worth every penny , despite mediocre house wine to avoid and so so dessert.
95% of restaurants in touristy areas have similar menus and nothing remarkable, not Carob House.
Innovative lady chef, dishes and we had 5 including soup, one better than the other and just beg for the great review!
Braised lamb with prunes and apricots - better than mine
Chicken with bulgur just outstanding and I NEVER order chicken at restaurants
Rashouf soup is not like anything I ever had in my life and all our travels
Ghee fried eggs and white cheese was perfect appetizer.
It took 50 years, but finally it happened, my very first missed connection due to the original flight delay.
Sucks indeed. The only consolation is that business lounge is open 24 hours. Know what you wish for.
We regretted that we had tight connection on the way in and couldn't stay here, so now we'll be here for 20 some hours.
Travels is adventure and by definition, adventure is when outcome is unknown!
